- Hello friends welcome back to another hacking blog.
But guys doing this job is not easy as we think(as show in movies). it is performed by well trained professional, who understand the functional and constitutional acpects of the system throughoutly.
So in this blog I have described all the basic terms related to the ethical hacking.
For an ethical hacker, it is very essential to know the technical meaning of terminology used for hacking.
So let's understand it one by one.
THERAT :- basically therat is a technique or a software that is possibly dangerous for any system or network. And allows hacker to hack the system or network.
:) It can break into the system and potentially harm it.
For instance : my friend does not use antivirus software in his computer.
So that's why a hacker easily can inject virus or malware in his computer.
EXPLOIT :- exploit is a piece of software or program that can lead to an unauthorised access to a system trough a vulnerability.
:) Once the hacker identified the vulnerability, he may go on to the privileges escalation ( administrator privileges)on the host machine.
:) Exploit is a definitive way to break security of a system or network.
NOTE :- Black hat hackers are also on the lookout for exploites in a computer system as it is serves as a point of entry.
Vulnerability :- is an weekness of any system or software. also know as bug,
glitch and loophole.
:) By exploiting the vulnerability malicious
hacker can take unauthorised access to the system or software.
:) And white hat hackers are also lookout for a vulnerability to fix it.
PAYLOAD :- Payload is a term used to donate maximum size of Information that an exploit can carry.
:) In the hacking term, it represent as part of virus which actively participate in data corruption, distinction.
Let's understand vulnerability, exploit and payload trough this image.
So simply vulnerability is just a loophole and payload is a actual code for attack(just like missile as in this picture) and lastly the outcome of the whole process is exploit.. simple 😄
ATTACK' :- Attack is an activity or tool lunched by hacker.attack is a simply attack that's it..😄
BOT :- A bot is a software application or code, used to perform automated task wich is difficult for Human to perform.
:) Hackers use bots to spread malware(virus,worms)or to execute malicious activities in a host.
Bot-net :- botnet refers to a group of infected computer system on which malware run to successfully executed stealth hacking programs.
:) The intention is to cause data breach.
Mostly Hackers are used bot net to perform DDOS ATACK or any other high rates attacks.
BACKDOOR :- it is very popular word in this field.
:) Backdoor is an unauthorised stealthy
(without target's knowledge) entry in a system.
:) Hacker often put the backdoor for future ataack or access.
:)It is also designed in such a way, it can bypass antivirus software and authentication (user id , password).
ZERO-DAY-EXPLOIT :- when in newly discovered vulnerability of a system and exploit executed by the hacker falls on the same day, it called zero day exploit.
DOXING :- using the internet for gathering and identifying private data of any individual person through his publicly uploaded details such as age, email id, phone number and photographs.
DAISY CHAINING :- Refer to hacker who steal the data from database or any system and clear all signs.
:) Basically it just a process in which hacker removes his/her all footprints (logs, history)
Hack value :- is something, gives a resone to hacker for performing the hacking attack'..
